This work created in 2016 is an allegory of the bond and unspoken understanding between lovers. It is not referring to sex or longtime friends . It is regarding the common bond of humans weather or not they are entirely familiar with one another. 
 
The work is made of several layers of acrylic and carbon transfers on MDF board.
The entire workis coated in David's homemade wax encaustic. The artist aslo constructed a custom frame for the work.
The frame is given a treatment of stains and waxes to give it a unique patina that compliments the work.
 
The entire work including the frame is 18.5" x 18.5".
